There are Barcelona streets that are iconic and famous for various reasons. Historic, luxury, large, long, pedestrian, dynamic, commercial… And many of them are part of the itineraries offered by CityTellers.

Passeig de Gracia: Luxury and modernism

Luxury and modernism shake hands at one of the most wonderful streets in Barcelona (and one of the most expensive ones of Spain). The Modernist style is evident in the facades and luxury in the showcases. But, if you want to discover even more about this lovely street, just book our Gaudi Tour Barcelona. We will explain every secret about the genius of this artist, his friends and enemies and, of course, interesting facts related to the buildings in Passeig de Gràcia.

Las Ramblas: The most popular of all Barcelona streets

If there is one street that can compete in fame with Passeig de Gràcia, it’s Las Ramblas. It isn’t as luxurious as Passeig de Gràcia, but it’s more lively and exciting. In fact, around this street you will find some of the most interesting attractions of the city. This includes Plaça de Catalunya, La Boquería Market, the monument to Christopher Columbus, Grand Teatre del Liceu and many others. And can you guess who can take you to discover everything? Yes: us. You just have to join our introductory tour to the city, the  Gothic Quarter Tour.

Diagonal Avenue: The largest street in Barcelona

Diagonal Avenue is the great axis of the city, crossing the city from East to West. In fact, it’s more than 10 km long and it hosts important institutions, commercial centres and famous venues. It ends at the Forum, a modern area with avant-garde architecture and home of one of the most important music festivals in Spain: Primavera Sound. Right at the other extreme, you’ll find the academic area and, not far away from there, the stadium of FC Barcelona: Camp Nou.

Luis Companys: Pedestrian friendly, green and iconic

Not as long as Diagonal Avenue, but in a nice location, is Lluis Companys Street. It is close to Parc de la Ciudadela, the biggest park in central Barcelona and it is a pedestrian boulevard where you will find a great monument: the Arc del Triomf.

Portal del Ángel: Shopping and leisure in central Barcelona

Time to discover great commercial and leisure streets? Portal del Ángel is ideal. This is one of the small pedestrian streets that begins at Plaça de Catalunya and offers all kinds of shops and fast food restaurants.

And, as a great seaside city, one of the most loved Barcelona streets is Passeig Maritim in La Barceloneta Quarter, a restructured area in which you will find local inhabitants everywhere. It leads to the Port Olimpic and to the most famous beaches in the city.
